Heart, Hands
Health, Hope
One thing that we love to do as a team is teaching. We love to teach others about the conditions that exist in Haiti. And our plans to try to help make their lives better, one person at a time. Teaching how to live better lives through proper eating, proper nutrition for infants, proper hygiene practices, and proper control of health problems when possible.

We hosted a 5K Run/Walk last year, and had a good response. People showed up to support our team, and to participate in our run, which is promoting exercise and a healthier life style. So we decided to do this again, and planned and managed to get things rolling!

The morning dawned rainy. We had had several days of rain, so we had hoped that things would calm down long enough for us to complete this event. Scheduling do-overs is hard! And we hoped to avoid this. As long as there was not any lightning, we would be good to go!

A couple of runners did not show up, but we did have a couple of new ones that had not previously registered. The light rain continued during the registration time but did ease up to a light mist during the run. And we even had 2 walkers complete the race while underneath their umbrellas! It was so fun to see everyone come together and participate, even though the conditions were not optimal. Everyone completed the race, medals were given out, and snacks consumed. It was a great day! And the hard rain held off until after the last runner and team member had departed the park. Which was very sweet indeed!

We want to thank all of our sponsors. We hope that you will visit them and show support to their businesses. Without sponsors, our events would never be profitable, and without making a profit on the events, we can't do our trips or our local community service projects. Thanks all!

     Pictures and updates coming soon!
