Silver Dollar City
Silver Dollar City is an amazing place to visit. So many fun things to see and do, rides and concerts, and some amazing food you might not find in other places. Definitely a day spent here will life your spirits and make your free time even better.
For the last several years, our team has been honored to participate in their give back program. Non-profits can go and work at the park, as park employees, for the day. Than the salaries are donated to the team. Trust me when I say there are some hoops to jump through, a lot of paperwork to complete, and than finding people willing to do this. Lets face it, give up an entire day for "nothing!" And it is hard work, just ask anyone who has gone before!
We were blessed again this year to have several return workers. Knowing that they want to come back and help again warms our hearts so, because they do understand the good that comes from this.
We also were honored to have several new people this year, including one of our own team members! We love to introduce people to our team and our mission, so that they too can become more involved in projects.
Everyone had a blast! The car ride down was full of talking and getting to know each other outside of work. One member of the group provided the hotel rooms for the night, which led to more talking, laughing, and eating some amazing food (thanks to all who brought food for the night and breakfast for the morning!) Stopping for breakfast that morning was very memorable (got to plan better next time) and learning to get into the right lanes near the park will forever been ingrained on our memories.
So to everyone who went this year, we can't say thank you enough. Because of your willingness to help, we have plans to do several projects this winter. Which we couldn't do without the kindness you have shown.
