2020 Pastor Wilma's School
Food insecurity is real, and it is experienced by so many people around the world. Going to bed hungry, not knowing if or when you will be able to eat again, so very sad. And when you are trying to learn, this is even worse.

Many of the students that attend Pastor's Wilma's school are from very poor families. Some can't even afford to pay the tuition that is charged at the schools in Haiti, or able to afford to pay for uniforms which are mandatory to be worn. So if you can't afford these items, you often can't afford to send lunch with your children. And if you are hungry, you can't learn.

We were able to host a fundraising event to purchase food, to send to Pastor Wilma's school, to help feed the children during the day. Pastor Wilma often allows the kids to go to school even without paying the tuition, and allows them to wear whatever uniform they can. And he and his family often go without, so that the kids can eat. This is only a small amount of the food needed, but we hope that it helped. To the people who donated, we so do thank you for your kindness.

We have also sent enough money for 2 water filter systems, to be installed just as soon as the situation is safe for the workers to do so. We will update when that happens.

Cooking at the school. Each day they try to feed the children, so that they can learn without being so hungry.
Beans and rice is a staple in this community. The beans provide protein and the rice helps to allow each student to feel not so hungry. It isn't perfect, but better than having nothing to eat.
