Heart, Hands
Health, Hope
                                   Hands 4 Hope

It all started innocently enough. A question: would you like to go to Haiti to host Bible School with the kids. OK, no reason not to. But it would turn out to be a life-changing event. A chance encounter, a chance posting on a social media network, and it was started. And an additional trip led to the start of this organization.

Sitting around the kitchen table, we were talking about what we wanted to achieve with our group.  Who we wanted to help. How we wanted to accomplish this. And we realized we wanted to help where we could. Both here and in Haiti. In whatever capacity we were able to do this. And since we are all hard-working people, we knew that the way to achieve our goal was to use our hands and combine it with the feelings inside our hearts. Our hands to help others. Our hearts to show the love for those who have a need.

We have all been called to serve. Our Heavenly Father has whispered in each of our ears that we should be helping others. And to this, we plan to do as He has instructed, as best as we can. We plan to use our hands to help others. We plan to work towards providing better health and a healthy lifestyle for those that lack both. And when you combine all the above, there is hope. Hope for a better tomorrow, for the next generation, and for all of those around us.

So on these pages, we will endeavor to list what we have been doing. These trips, while being so beneficial to others, are not cheap, and it takes many hours of hard work to collect the resources necessary to go across the state or across the seas. And  we could not have done it alone, without the support of not only our family and friends, but of those willing to help us achieve our goals. So we will be showing the different ways we have used to collect the funds necessary to make our trips. For those who have helped us, we will provide links to their organizations or businesses. Please click on these links and support the people who have been supporting us.

This is definitely a work in progress. Please feel free to follow us, not only on here, but on our Hands 4 Hope Facebook page. We would appreciate hearing from you on either our guestbook or by clicking the link on the "Contact Us" page. If you have any questions, we will try to answer them. If you are interested in joining us for a mission, let us know that as well. And we are always interested in any help with the fundraising that we are doing all the time. Thanks for dropping by, and we hope to see you again really soon.

Mission Statement:   Listening to our hearts, and using our hands to help others, thereby promoting improved health to others, and increasing hope for a better future.

Vision Statement:  To be prepared to help others in need, whether here in the United States, or across the water in foreign countries. Where there is a need, we want to be prepared to help. Treating the poor and needy in Haiti, responding to a natural disaster in the United States, promoting education to those that are lacking, and donating to organizations which are aligned with our vision. Where there is a need, there is always an answer, and we work at being prepared to be a part of the answer and a part of the solution.

Our Mission, Our Goal

Thanks to Matthew West for allowing us to use this song for our videos. The music is perfect to what we hope to be
able to achieve, our goal to help others, and our desire to Do Something.
