Golf Tournament

La Plata, Missouri

Sometimes, no matter how hard you work, things just don't come together the way you had planned. Such was our first effort at a golf tournament. The day was beautiful, the sun was shining, the temperature very mild for August in Missouri, and the wind provided just enough of a breeze to make it oh so comfortable. Not sure what it did to the golfers, but for the spectators, it was very nice.

We had a very limited number of golfers show up to play on this day. Our sponsors was very few, and we hated that we didn't have more prizes to award to our players. A few raffle prizes were handed out. And their award for winning was our very heartfelt thanks. But in spite of all of this, spirits were high. The players pictured above are very special and dear friends to our team, and we were so glad that they came out in support of our efforts and our team. So we would like to thank them again for joining us, allowing us to tag along on the course taking pictures, and for their continued response to our quest to help.

We did receive a couple of additional prizes, but due to the number of golfers present, some were put back to be used for our next event. We just didn't feel that we could ask our friends to do more than they did.
