More pictures from our first two days of clinic. Some of the translators we had worked with before, some were new. But everyone came together like old friends. The tables were set up, curtains (well, sheets actually) were placed to separate the providers tables, benches placed for people to sit on, the banner proudly displayed, and the days begin. What better way to celebrate all that we have been given than by helping others.

Pierre prepares to measure a child, while Mickey obtains a weight on another. This sling allows the child to be secure, while being mobile enough to move to another location for use.
|
Pierre encourages a child to step up to be measured. Each child was
measured for height and weight, and this information recorded. This information is used to help determine growth and nutrition.

Yes, I think Tiffany was tired of having her picture taken! But she made
such a cute subject! |

Sharon discusses something with Mickey, while Pierre touches base with
a translator who was running late. Dr. Jenny Emmanuel (far left) was
new to our clinics, and served as our pediatrician for the week.

People gather outside the doors of the church, waiting to be seen.
The tents helped to provide shelter to those that waited, but the outside
temperatures remained high for the clinic days. |
Pierre helps an elderly lady to her chair. Most of the patients seen in
clinic were children, but several older patients were also seen. The most common problems with these patients were high blood pressure and chronic pain.

Our translators Orlando, Gary, and Franz. We could never do a clinic
without these amazing men. They do such an amazing job translating for us, and always have a ready smile for all. |

Patients wait outside, ready to be called into triage,
and than to wait to be seen by the provider. |
