Samaritan Auxiliary Craft Show

Several members of our team are employed at Samaritan Hospital. When we heard about their upcoming craft show, we decided to try to enter a table for this event. Even though there were many tables already, the ladies knew the purpose of the table, and were willing to put us into the show. We must say, the craft fair had a wonderful turnout of area residents. Many different types of crafts were displayed. We even helped support some of the food vendors!

We are pleased that we did somewhat better at this craft show. We understand that times are hard, and many are just surviving. But we also feel that this path is the one which we are suppose to travel, and so we will continue in our fundraising, and we will be successful. We have a mission, and that is to help treat the people of Carrefour, Haiti. To show them that they are not forgotten, to help educate them in improved healthcare, and to teach ourselves what leading with the heart is really all about. Thanks to everyone who bought an item. We appreciate it.

Some of the items for sale. The best selling item this year has been the corn bag. Thanks to Tiffany's mom for the hours she has spent to make these items for us to sell. It definitely has helped with the cost of the trip.

Some of the items made by team members Sharon and Lilias. Scarves were really welcome this past year to combat the cold! We appreciate the hours that people spend to make these items.

More items made to sell. Tissue boxes last forever, and are a great way to hide those boxes, and you can brighten your decor. Warm afghans and blankets to ward off the cold. And all items which are sold, help to pay for medicines in Haiti.

Present that day was a reporter for KTVO, Channel 3 news from Kirksville.
We were able to do our first news report regarding our team and our
medical mission trip to Haiti in 2014.

We are always willing to talk about our trip, and our feelings towards the
people of this land. We hope to do more interviews in the future, and we hope to show how important it is to give to others.

Remember, you don't have to travel to a foreign land to be a member
of a mission trip. Every item you buy, every blanket or cookie, every
raffle ticket purchased, and every prayer spoken to the Heavenly Father
all make you an important part of our trips. And to you, we are forever
grateful.
