Clinic Team 2015

It takes a lot of people to be able to host these clinics. People both here and in Haiti come together to offer some basic healthcare needs to a portion of the population that often have no resources available. Families who have children who suffer and cry, and no way to help them to feel better. Adults who worry about current children, and unborn ones. And the older adults, who have lived many years but often with little access to healthcare themselves. And these souls are the reason we travel thousands of miles away from home, to a country still struggling to survive.

On this page, we wish to highlight those who have made this trip possible, on the ground in Haiti. Teams, translators, and ancillary persons all form our clinic team, our friends, and our extended family members. Without each person shown on this page, our mission would never happen. So please take a look, and say a prayer of thanks for each person here. They have all given of their time to help others, because they have heard the calling in their hearts to make a difference. They each have pledged to Do Something, to reach out to others, and to follow the whispers they have heard in their ears and their hearts. And we are so glad that they have.

Wendel, translator, with Hands4Hope team member Dustin.
This was the first year for this team, as this was Dustin's first trip. Wendel
was the perfect match for Dustin, and they both had a great time.

Hands4Hope team member Tiffany, with translator Gary.
This was the second year that this team paired up, and the friendship that
started last year continued. Makes for a great clinic day!

Ronald, translator, with Hands4Hope team member Lilias. This was
the third year together for this team. And a very special friendship has
definitely developed. One we hope continues through the years.

Ronald was not able to be with Lilias for all clinic days. Jordan stopped by,
hoping for a chance at some work. He worked one day, and when there was a need at triage, he joined Lilias. And a wonderful team they did make.
Translator Pastor Pierre with Hands4Hope team member Sharon.
Pastor Pierre has been a constant with our clinics, and this year was
no different. This year he joined Sharon at the pharmacy table.

Homayon and Roger, team members and founders of International
Medical Aid. Homayon has been at all 3 clinics, this was Roger's 2nd year.
They were the team leaders of the clinics. And a great job they did!
Ian, joined by translator Orlando.

Emily, intern with Children's Health Ministries.
One of our Cuban physicians, now living in Haiti.

Our other Cuban physician, now living in Haiti.
Liz, team member with Children's Health Ministries.

Mickey, founder of Children's Health Ministries, with intern Lydia.
You can't get anywhere unless you walk or drive. And driving in Haiti
is something I don't want to ever do! But Rocky did a great job, getting
us to and from clinics, and even doing an emergency run one afternoon
to pick up a sick team member. Thanks again Rocky!

Basically we divided into 2 different vehicles. Andy was our other driver
for the week. Back and forth from clinics was sure interesting at times!
And the conversation was always fun. Thanks for letting us get to know you
a little bit better. Hope to see you next year!

Where we stayed this year in Haiti. Getting there was quite an
adventure. But once there, it was an amazing place to relax and unwind
after a busy day at clinic.
Our hosts for the week, Rocky and Meliana Giannetta, owners of
On A Hill Guesthouse. A wonderful view, great home cooking, and
interesting conversations. Couldn't ask for more.
